What is LogicLens for iOS?

LogicLens for iOS lets you share a post, link, or screenshot to LogicLens and get a Source Receipt: reasoning notes, source-backed fact checks when a claim is checkable, and the context you need before you repost. It uses the same LogicLens account as the website and browser extension.

Is LogicLens a fact checker?

Partly. LogicLens keeps two things separate on every receipt. Reasoning notes point out weak sourcing, loaded framing, missing context, and other rhetorical moves — these are interpretation, a second read, not a verdict. When a post makes a checkable factual claim, LogicLens also runs a conservative fact check against sources and shows the verdict, the confidence, and the citations.

It would rather miss a call than make a false one, and it won't label opinion, satire, or prediction as false. When it can't check something, it says so.

What's the difference between Demo mode and a real check?

Demo mode shows the full flow — capture, the Analysis Pass, and a Source Receipt — using sample content, with no account and no network calls. It's there so you can see how LogicLens works before signing in.

A real check runs on your existing LogicLens account, sends the shared link and text to LogicLens for analysis, and uses your account's credits.

What data is sent when I run a real check?

When you run a real check, the shared link and text — including text read from a screenshot on your device — are sent to LogicLens for analysis, and may be processed by the third-party AI providers LogicLens uses.

Screenshot images themselves never leave your phone. LogicLens reads the text from a screenshot on your device (using Apple's on-device Vision framework) and only sends the extracted text. LogicLens does not track you, does not use your data for advertising, and does not collect your contacts or the contents of your other apps.

How do credits and plans work?

LogicLens uses your existing plan — Free, Nuance Navigator, or Fleet Financier — and your remaining credits are shown in the app. Nothing is sold inside the iOS app; your plan stays exactly as it is on the website. Manage your plan at thelogiclens.com.

How do I delete my history?

Saved receipts live only on your phone. Open the app menu, go to Account, and use "Delete local history" to remove them at any time.

How do I delete my account?

Your LogicLens account is shared with the website and browser extension. Go to thelogiclens.com/account/delete, sign in, and confirm — that page files the request directly.

Deletion is carried out by a person on the LogicLens team, so it is not instant: we delete your account and its associated account and usage data within 30 days. If you would rather ask a human, email hey@thelogiclens.com and we'll handle it for you.

Which apps can I share from?

You can share a link or text from almost any app through the iOS Share Sheet, and share a screenshot to read its text on your device. Some apps only hand over a link or weak metadata; when that happens, LogicLens tells you plainly rather than pretending it analyzed more than it did.
